Why, I read The New York Times!

I also read The Washington Post, The Washington Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time, Newsweek,  National Review, The Weekly Standard, The New Yorker, The New York Press, The New York Observer, The New York Sun (did I mention I live in New York?), The Village Voice, The Nation, The New Republic, The American Spectator, The American Prospect, The Progressive, and The American Conservative.  When forced to, I will glance at the tendentious hatred of The New Criterion.  And I admit without shame or hesitation that I love our Monthly Review, and count it as the finest political writing in America.  That doesn't mean I agree with half of it, either.

I also, appropriately, read web logs.  Also known as blogs.  I guess that extra syllable was too much time wasted for these workaholics.  My favorites are
Andrew Sullivan, The Huffington Post, RealClearPolitics, TalkingPointsMemo, Daily Kos, Tech Central Station, Powerline, and, of course, National Review's The Corner.  You won't find a better nonstop bitch fest than the conservative civil war raging in that particular hole.

You might want to glance at the ABC political unit's commentary "The Note", which is also subscribable. Too often, "The Note" is 'gone fishin', but this is the season for them to follow every event everywhere with some dilligence. -- keep on bloggin --
