The mainstream TV media is already spinning Rumsfeld's resignation as some sort of political master stroke by Bush. Not the result of a crushing electoral defeat at the hands of the Democrats. Nope, not the result of a 28-seat pickup in the House of Representatives, or the imminent capture by the Democrats of the U.S. Senate.
