Obama's favorite TV show is The Wire, the finest show ever put on television:

Obama told the Sun his favorite character is Omar, a stick-up artist who steals from drug dealers and then gives the loot to poor people in the neighborhood.

“That’s not an endorsement.  He’s not my favorite person, but he’s a fascinating character.”


Words to make a die-hard fan of the series swoon...

      Kind of unrelated but HBO took out an ad in the New Yorker where for a full page Tony Kushner praises The Wire as his all time favorite tv show or movie.  His favorite character is also Omar.  Tony Kushner is smart.
