I'm actually watching the Republican debate, taking place tonight at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. It's not pretty. Really, I mean it is not pretty. We've discovered the CNN "HD" channel. I don't know what the point of this really is. No one was clamoring for a more enhanced look at John McCain's surgery scar, or Mike Huckabee's bald spot, or Ron Paul's eye sandbags.
I will say however, that no one is coming off worse in HD that Mitt Romney. Good lord. The man, so often described in the press as the "handsome" one of the group, looks like frigging Frankenstein.
I'm not just saying that because everyone knows Frankenstein is one ugly dude. I mean, he actually looks just like Frankenstein. The flat forehead. The square top. The crazy eyes. The massive eyebrows. The oddly artificial-looking wrinkles in his face, as if someone had carved them in to "authenticate" him. I keep looking for screws to pop out from behind his ears.
Back to regular CNN. Oh, now that is one dreamy guy...
