Campaign "Shakeup"

The biggest campaign news of the day is that Patti Solis Doyle, Hillary Clinton's longtime Campaign Manager, has been "transitioned" to "senior advisor", being replaced by longtime Clinton aide Maggie Williams.  And why is it the biggest political news of the day?  Because that is what the Clinton camp wanted it to be.

This move has apparently been in the works
since Iowa, and merely delayed due to the fear of killing any resurgent momentum from Hill victories in New Hampshire, Nevada, and Super Tuesday.  Following a weekend of Joementum proportions, the Clinton campaign realized there was no time like the present, and dumped Patti.

Now, everyone's talking about the Clinton "restructuring", not the fact that the titular head of the Democrats' most powerful dynasty just lost four elections in a row by 15+ points each.

Honestly, I have to disagree that this is the news that the Clinton's wanted - I think it gives them too much credit.  They don't control EVERYTHING.  I don't think I read a single story about the shake-up that didn't say - "and this follows Clinton's loss of x states..."  How is this good for them?  And Drudge's spin on the story was classic - that she was losing her Latina manager just before Texas.  That can't be helpful.
