"This was the moment..."

Wow.  The most passionate speech I've seen Obama give the whole primary season, and that's saying a helluva lot.  Frigging awesome, man...

On McCain: "I honor his accomplishments...even if he chooses not to honor mine."  That second part didn't used to be there.  Perhaps after McCain chose to call Obama the "chosen nominee of the party leaders and pundits", rather than the actual voters who have nominated him, Obama felt it was time to take a swing.  I like it.  Let's see more.

10:15pm
"I will be the Democratic nominee for the President of the Unites States of America."

!!!!!

Obama thanks his grandmother, saying that she "poured everything she had" into him, and that "tonight is for her."

Just watched Michelle part the stage after the couple gave each other knuckles.  Damn, they're a cute couple.

As someone who campaigned for Jesse Jackson and Mayor Harold Jackson, I remember the long journey has been to get to tonight. America has turned a page in it's history. What a great night. The talking heads on CNN and MSNBC couldn't get over the contrast between Obama's rally in St. Paul (17,000 in the arena & 15,000 outside) and McCain's small rally in Kenner, Louisiana (2500). Are they just now wakingl up to the Obama movement?
