The progressive NYT columnist has won the Nobel Prize on Economics for his work on global trade patterns.  Since I don't claim to understand much beyond the surface when it comes to global trade patterns, I'll just say that I'm happy for him, and hope this makes up for an otherwise tough year spent defending Hillary Clinton's campaign.  Perhaps this award will keep alive Mr. Krugman's rumored hopes for a cabinet position in the next administration after all.

I think...yeah, I just heard the collective heads of the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board explode in unison.
